What causes cheating husband’s to stop sleeping with wife? Sometimes they still do, but when they do not, why?

If a cheating husband still sleeps with you (his wife) does that mean the sex with the other woman is only sex? Is it when he stops sleeping with you, that you know he has something else for her?
